ALL the jewelry on this site, I've made. I've collected the "components" ... beads, silver, bone, fasteners etc, ... from suppliers or estate sales or jewelers or taken apart vintage pieces. Turquoise [s] and sterling silver make up at least 50% of my work ; opal gemstone, garnet, and bone beads pull in around 30%, with the remainder a nice medley of surprises !
Unless otherwise mentioned, ALL the jewelry is made from sterling silver, real gemstone beads, real bone, real everything, from nature. Therefore, naturally, from nature comes unique matrixes, patina and "imperfections", so to speak, which make for quite individual pieces.
I string everything with nylon coated stainless steel. It's flexible, water proof, [ I don't wear my pieces in the chlorinated pool though...] kink resistant, VERY STRONG, [ remember the mowing incident ?! ] and has a really good "hang" to it. Occasionally I use good quality goat leather cord.
Each necklace and bracelet is " one of a kind." Even if you order a similar piece, it'll still be an "original."
I recommend MR. METAL wipes for cleaning the sterling silver. It works SO well and is SO easy to use. I mention this because I wear my jewelry EVERYDAY-EVERYWHERE.....cleaning stalls to, yes, even mowing!
